Best Hair Growth Tips

Do you also put in a lot of effort to ensure your hair grows optimally?
Like using all kinds of hair masks to keep it soft and smooth, different types of oils, serums and expensive shampoos to make it long and strong?
(89% of us still haven’t figured out the right type of shampoo for our hair. We try one shampoo and our hair starts falling out, we try another and it becomes rough, dry and stiff. One shampoo makes hair good, another makes it shiny.)
Conditioners, derma rollers (I don’t know who those people are who use derma rollers to make their hair twice as thick) and many other things that we use to nourish our hair optimally.
All of these products can improve the health of your hair, but only temporarily, because they all have one thing in common – chemicals.

For example,
The way we apply foundation on our skin, it hides some of our skin problems (problems like uneven tone, pimples, dark circles, dark spots, etc.), not completely but to some extent.
But the moment we remove the foundation from our face, the condition of our skin feels worse than before - because the foundation that temporarily covers our skin problems actually makes our skin more sensitive and damaged over time.
Similarly, the chemical-laden shampoos, conditioners and hair masks that we use on our hair may make our hair feel good for a while but in the long run, they cause a lot of damage.
Conditioners that are more chemical-laden than other conditioners make our hair feel softer and smoother for a while and we start believing that this conditioner suits us. But as time goes by, we realize that our hair is going back to its old state — or worse: dry, lifeless, rough, and stiff.
And then what we do is we change our shampoos, conditioners, and other hair care products again.
Again, our hair looks fine for a while, and then the same cycle continues — hair loss again, then trying the next trending hair care product, and then loss again a little later.
But in this whole process, one very damaging thing that keeps happening to our hair is hair fall.
Today, we’re sharing simple tips and tiny changes that won’t change the hair game overnight — but will help your hair live longer and stay healthier.
Let’s make one thing clear — in today’s world, everyone wants things fast. Anything that saves time is considered better. And everything in this modern, fast-paced era is being designed with one goal: to save your time.
For example, people now take weight loss supplements because following a low-calorie diet and doing proper exercise takes time — and they want quick results. So, instead of waiting, they go for supplements that make them slim faster.
Or take another example — someone wants soft, pink, beautiful lips. But instead of taking care of their lips naturally, they go straight for lip color treatments that give them instant pink lips.
But the truth is — things that give fast results are often full of chemicals.
Yes, chemicals show quick effects, but remember, they’re all temporary.
Our elders, who lived before us, didn’t face so many skin or hair issues. Their hair didn’t fall as much. Their lives were healthier than ours — and one of the biggest reasons is that they lived closer to nature.
They embraced natural living, and we, in today’s world, have replaced that with chemicals.
And anything that is meant to speed things up eventually shortens its life — whether it’s your health, your skin, or your hair.

I know what you're thinking — if you shift from chemicals to natural things, your fast-paced life will get affected.
But we’re going to make some small changes that won’t disturb your fast-moving life. We’ll adopt a few new habits, and let go of a few old ones.
We won’t claim that these small habits will save your time.
Whether a change is big or small — it always demands a bit of time.
Today, whatever we’re going to share with you, you have to make it a part of your routine.
Anything that we do with special effort feels easy if done occasionally.
But if we have to do that same thing every day, it feels difficult.
That’s why, whatever tips or instructions we give — you need to add them into your daily routine.
Just like some things are already a part of our routine:
Waking up in the morning, washing our face, brushing our teeth, combing our hair, cleaning our room, taking a shower, getting dressed — these don’t feel hard because they’re routine tasks. We don’t see them as tasks, we see them as a part of our day.
On the other hand, the things we do with special effort — like cleaning the ceiling, removing spiderwebs, cleaning fans, or maintaining our vehicles (like motorbikes or cars) — these are things we don’t do every day, because we don’t consider them part of our routine.
Doing these things daily would feel very difficult. That’s why we assign a special day for them and do all such chores at once — because they’re not part of our regular routine.
As we all know — no matter how strong a tree may seem, if its roots are weak, it will fall with the first strong wind.
But even a small tree, if it has strong roots, can survive even the worst of storms.
So first, we will take some steps to strengthen your hair from the roots, from the inside — so that your hair becomes stronger from within.
We won’t tell you anything totally new — you’ve probably already heard about these things somewhere.
You must have heard many people say:
"Drink water, drink water, drink as much water as possible."
But we’ll just say this:
Whatever number of glasses of water you drink in a day — Just add another glass of water to it.
And in that one glass, add 1 to 2 teaspoons of
chia seeds.
Within 20 to 30 minutes, the chia seeds will swell up in the water.
Without adding any flavor or sugar, you have to drink this chia seed water every day.
You can drink it anytime: early morning on an empty stomach, before lunch, or even in the evening.
Now let’s talk about the benefits of chia seeds:

In the early 2000s, shampoos were not as common in every household as they are today.
My mother often tells me how she used to clean her hair in her time. She says she used to wash her hair with buttermilk (lassi), and occasionally — once in two or three months — she used dish soap to wash her hair.
And instead of conditioner, she used oil.
She says she would apply mustard oil to wet hair, just like a conditioner.
She would rinse her hair with water after a while, just like a conditioner.
Even today, my mother does this sometimes.
"And trust me — I would never recommend washing my hair with buttermilk (lassi).
Because only I know how hard it is to bear the stench of my mother’s hair later! 😖"
Honestly, forget about maintaining pH levels or other benefits — the smell alone is enough to make us give up.
We are not strong enough to withstand this smell!
Our generation today cannot stand washing our hair with lassie.
But it is important for us to know:
Which ingredients should absolutely be present in our shampoo - and which ones should we strictly avoid
(Biotin) strengthens hair roots, prevents hair fall
(Keratin) repairs damaged, split hair
(Caffeine) stimulates hair growth
(Saw Palmetto blocks DHT) → reduces hair fall
(Zinc & Niacinamide Vitamin B3) reduces dryness and itching
(Argan Oil / Coconut Oil) restores moisture, makes hair soft and smooth
(Aloe Vera) soothes the scalp, reduces itching
(Green Tea Extract / Rosemary) are antioxidants, help in new hair growth
(Tea Tree Oil) eliminates dandruff, keeps scalp healthy
Sulfates (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, SLS/SLES) strip hair of its natural oils, making it dry and weak
(Parabens) disrupt hormones, causing hair loss
(Silicones) temporarily smooth hair, but "coat" it and prevent hair growth
Alcohol (Especially Isopropyl Alcohol) makes hair dry and brittle
(Formaldehyde / DMDM Hydantoin) may be carcinogenic
(Artificial Fragrances / Dyes)may cause allergies, itching, or inflammation of the scalp

A girl can’t wash her hair every single day — even if she has short hair. Many girls often complain that their scalp feels extremely oily while the rest of their hair remains dry and rough. It creates an uncomfortable, uneasy feeling — even after washing, there’s no real sense of freshness. And if she accidentally scratches her head, it feels like there's an unknown amount of dirt accumulated in her hair.
We’ve all heard or read somewhere that we should wash our hair at least three times a week — but I personally don’t believe in following this rule blindly. If you live in a very hot area and spend a lot of time outdoors exposed to sun, pollution, sweat, and dust, then you can freely wash your hair whenever they feel dirty. On the other hand, washing your hair too frequently or too rarely — both can damage your hair.
Over-washing can make the roots oily while the ends become dry and frizzy. If your hair isn’t very rough or your scalp isn’t oily, congratulations — your hair is likely healthy! But if your roots get oily quickly while the rest of the hair remains dry, unfortunately, that’s an early sign of hair fall.
So let’s talk about a homemade hair mask to nourish and strengthen your hair.
Ingredients:
1.5 glasses of water
8–9 tbsp rice (or 4–5 tbsp rice flour if available)
4–5 tbsp flaxseeds
2 Vitamin E capsules
Coconut oil (1 tbsp for oily hair, 2 tbsp for dry hair)
3 tbsp mustard oil
½ tbsp olive oil
> Optional: If your hair is curly or wavy, blend again after final preparation.
If your hair is straight, you can apply it as-is.
Instructions:
1. In a frying pan, boil 1.5 glasses of water and add rice (or rice flour). Adjust quantity based on your hair length and thickness.
2. Let the rice boil well. Once soft, transfer to a blender.
3. In the same pan, add 2 more glasses of water and mix in the flaxseeds.
4. Boil for 5–10 minutes until it becomes thick and gel-like.
5. Strain the mixture while still warm (it becomes hard to strain once cool).
6. Add this flaxseed gel to the blender with the rice and blend thoroughly.
7. Now add Vitamin E oil, coconut oil, mustard oil, and olive oil. Blend again if needed.
How to Apply
Comb your clean hair thoroughly.
Apply the mask from roots to ends.
Since it's chemical-free, keep it on for at least 2 hours.
Rinse with plain water (or shampoo, if needed).
For best results, shampoo the next day instead of right away.
This mask doesn't smell bad — in fact, it has a light pleasant scent. It helps control excess oil in the roots, reduces roughness, and deeply moisturizes the hair. Use it once or twice every two weeks for noticeable improvement.
It balances the pH of your scalp, softens your hair, and gives a lightweight, fresh feeling. Hair won’t get greasy quickly like they often do after a regular shampoo.
Variations:
Instead of flaxseeds, you can add fresh aloe vera gel.
Use just one oil that suits your hair instead of a mix.
You can also add 1 tbsp of honey for extra moisture (optional).
But the method I shared above is ideal and highly effective
One Important Thing to Always Remember:
Never shampoo your hair without applying something to them first. Washing dry and unprotected hair directly with shampoo can start damaging your hair very quickly.
Many people apply oil to their hair to prevent roughness — but they often skip applying oil to the roots. When you don’t oil your scalp properly, your scalp starts overproducing natural oils. This leads to greasy buildup, sticky hair, increased dandruff, and a higher risk of hair fall.
That’s why it's important to always apply oil or a nourishing hair mask thoroughly — especially to the scalp — before shampooing.
And don’t forget to use a conditioner. Always choose a gentle conditioner that is free from harsh chemicals.
Chemical-rich conditioners can make your hair instantly smooth, but in the long run, they make your hair rough and damaged. On the other hand, gentle conditioners might not give you that super sleek feeling instantly, but they keep your hair safe from long-term damage and dryness.
And yes, the most important thing is to comb your hair for at least 15 minutes, combing it thoroughly from the roots to the ends.
